Shawarma Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs of chicken wings

  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika

  • 2 tsp cumin

  • 2 tsp turmeric

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp coriander

  • ½ tsp ground cardamom

  • ½ tsp chilli flakes (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons baking powder

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together and marinate wings (you can leave it in the bowl or you dump it all into a large zip-lock bag) for 4-24 hours in the fridge.

When ready to cook, set the oven to 475 degrees F and rest a wire rack over a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 30-40min or until crispy.

For best results, turn them over half way through the cook time (around the 15-20 minute point). Top with hummus or tahini sauce and pair with your favourite sides! We like fresh raw veggies and rice.
